Mayor Chu visit Miami to meet Tomás Regalado mayor
 
    Mayor Chu visit Miami on January 11, to meet the mayor, Tomás Regalado, who shared his experience to manage this highly ethnic integration city. They also discussed topics about climate change, transport, ethnic integration and security, such as to install solar panels on buildings, expand the MRT system, reduced vagrants effectively, strengthen public servants’ understanding and respect on multicultural, those are the same problems in Miami and New Taipei City.
 
    Miami-Dade County in Florida, with a population of about 2.6 million, is a sister city of New Taipei City, which has 34 municipalities, Miami is the most important city of them, has more than half a million inhabitants. The mayor Regalado is warm, active and humorous, he received mayor Chu warmly. Mayor Chu invited him to visit New Taipei City again this year, to see how different and advances in New Taipei City than 2011, last time mayor Regalado has visited.
