Mosquito Eradication Day of New Taipei City
Without water-filled containers, without mosquitoes! The Environmental Protection Department (EPD) will hold the “Mosquito Eradication Day” on 8/18 in New Taipei City; they will empty and clean the water-filled containers with Village Chiefs, residents, public health agency and volunteers, to reduce chances of mosquitos breeding.
In order to eliminate vector breeding sources, the most important thing is to empty and clean water-filled containers. DEP reminds the public to eliminate standing water from containers, old vases, old tires, flower pots, buckets, and PET bottles, clean the environment around their households to reduce the risk of dengue transmission.
