【New Taipei City】In response to the growing demand for talent in domestic industries and the global expansion of enterprises, the New Taipei City Government’s Economic Development Department held the "Global Talents Job Fair" today, on September 20. The event successfully gathered 28 ICT  and manufacturing enterprises from New Taipei City, offering over 100 high-quality job vacancies. Talents from countries such as Indonesia, Vietnam, the Philippines, India, Malaysia, Myanmar, and Thailand, along with local international trade professionals, attended the job fair. These talents not only possess language expertise but also have international perspectives and cross-functional team collaboration skills, creating new opportunities for companies to expand into ASEAN and Indian markets. This event reflects the New Taipei City Government’s commitment to attracting global talent and supporting businesses in globalizing.

The Commissioner of the Economic Development Department, Sheng Hsiao-Rung, indicates that to address the talent needs in key industries such as artificial intelligence (AI), semiconductors, green energy, and biotech, New Taipei City has been promoting the "Enterprise Talent Matching Platform " since 2023. This initiative, supported by central ministries resources and industry-academia cooperation from Northern Taiwan’s universities, aims to alleviate the talent shortage and realize the vision of local education and employment. This year, the focus is on "global talent recruitment," targeting "retaining international students in Taiwan" and "hiring global talents in Taiwan," with a particular emphasis on multilingual and cross-cultural candidates. The event seeks to match mid-to-senior level global talents with enterprises, accelerating their global market expansion efforts. By enhancing the "talent power," New Taipei City Government Economic Development Department hopes to inject new momentum into the internationalization of enterprises and support the transformation and upgrading of New Taipei’s industries, while also increasing enterprises' understanding of global talent resources.
