2024 New Taipei City Investment Conference and International Trade Fair Grand Debut
[New Taipei City News] The New Taipei City Government continues to deliver outstanding investment results! Today , the government held the "2024 New Taipei City Investment Conference and International Procurement Fair" at the Hilton Taipei Sinban. The event featured over 40 hectares of land offerings, including government-led investment projects and public land from Taiwan International Ports Corporation. Additionally, the conference highlighted industrial space solutions from New Taipei's vertical industrial park initiative and one-stop business invitation window, aiming to integrate public and private resources for accelerating land use by enterprises, enhancing industrial momentum, and encouraging investment in New Taipei City.
New Taipei City Mayor Hou You-Yi emphasized that New Taipei City holds a key position in Taiwan's economy, with more than 300,000 businesses, commercial enterprises, and factories. The city has become a critical strategic partner for numerous multinational corporations, such as ASML, GOOGLE, and Mitsui, whose recent investments have fostered industry clusters and spurred the city's overall economic development. Since the launch of the " one-stop business invitation window " in 2019, New Taipei City has successfully facilitated 284 investment cases, generating NT$562 billion in investment and creating 99,000 job opportunities. Mayor Hou reaffirmed that the city's team is committed to providing a stable and sustainable investment environment based on the principles of "benefit to the people," "convenience," and "care," ensuring businesses thrive and continue to grow roots in New Taipei.
The Economic Development Department highlighted that the " International Trade Fair " has invited 37 international buyers from 14 countries to help local businesses expand into international markets. These buyers will participate in one-on-one meetings with domestic companies in popular sectors such as "5G/AI," "Electric Vehicles and Smart Car Connectivity," "Smart Manufacturing," "Green Energy," and "Smart Healthcare." These meetings will take place both physically and virtually, helping New Taipei enterprises explore global markets. In collaboration with the Taiwan External Trade Development Council, the event also offers the latest information on domestic and international exhibitions, enabling participants to stay updated on global economic trends and seize more exposure and development opportunities.
This year's investment conference focuses on the practical applications and development of the AI industry, with the theme "AI Acceleration: Green Energy Capital." Key issues include the e-sports industry, electric vehicles, and green energy. Industry experts and leading representatives from major corporations, such as General Manager of Microsoft Taiwan’s Global Partner Solutions, Co-Founder and Dean of the Digital Transformation Academy, General Manager of SHINFOX ENERGY CO., Ltd., and General Manager of Clientron Corp., delivered keynote speeches and discussions to help businesses keep pace with industry trends and latest investment information. Moreover, New Taipei's prominent electric vehicle and e-sports companies, including ADATA, Clientron, Acer, and Yulon showcased their latest products and technologies, allowing attendees to gain insight into industry trends and foster business exchanges.
