New Taipei–Poland Economic Ties Gain Momentum Through Continued Business Exchanges
New Taipei City and Poland are continuing to strengthen their economic and business ties. The New Taipei City Computer Association and the New Taipei City Smart City Industry Alliance jointly hosted the “2026 Poland × New Taipei City Trade & Investment Exchange” on September 1 at Hilton Taipei Sinban. The Polish-Taiwanese Chamber of Industry and Commerce (PTIPH) led a delegation of Polish companies and government representatives to New Taipei City for business meetings and industry exchanges with local enterprises. New Taipei City Government Deputy Secretary-General Yea-Wen Kung also attended the event.
Deputy Secretary-General Yea-Wen Kung said New Taipei City is continuing to expand its international partnerships as global supply chains and industrial strategies evolve. With its strong manufacturing base, strategic location, and growth potential, Poland is an important partner for New Taipei companies seeking opportunities in Central and Eastern Europe.
Last year, a New Taipei City delegation visited Poland, where the Polish-Taiwanese Chamber of Industry and Commerce, the New Taipei City Computer Association, and the New Taipei City Smart City Industry Alliance signed a trilateral Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). PTIPH later led a delegation to New Taipei City in July, further strengthening ties between the two sides.
This year’s event marks another step in that partnership, with industry associations and businesses taking a more active role in building direct connections. New Taipei City hopes these exchanges will help local companies identify new business opportunities and expand their presence in Central and Eastern Europe.
Agnieszka Sygitowicz, President of the Polish-Taiwanese Chamber of Industry and Commerce, said she was pleased to return to New Taipei City. She noted that New Taipei City and Poland have strong potential for cooperation in technology, manufacturing, and innovation. PTIPH will continue to connect businesses and industry resources on both sides, support business matchmaking, and help create more opportunities for practical cooperation.
The New Taipei City Government’s Economic Development Department said long-term engagement is essential to building meaningful international business partnerships. The City Government will continue working with industry associations, businesses, and overseas partners to help New Taipei companies expand into global markets and to encourage more international companies to explore opportunities for cooperation with New Taipei.
