TIC, a pioneering project by Daikin, is the world's largest air conditioning technology innovation center won LEED Platinum-certified and embodies Daikin's commitment to energy efficiency and sustainability. By achieving near-zero energy consumption, TIC sets a new benchmark for the commercial real estate industry and underscores the critical role of air conditioning technology in realizing net-zero buildings, especially considering that air conditioning systems typically account for a substantial portion of a building's energy usage.

Deputy Mayor Her-Ran Liou expressed that Daikin is a great ally of New Taipei City. The company has long been supportive of the city government's policies. For example, Daikin donated new air conditioning equipment to create a better learning environment for special education students. They also took the lead in the Economic Development Bureau's "New Taipei Heart Appliances, Happy Delivery to Your Doorstep Energy-Saving Public Welfare Program," helping disadvantaged groups replace old appliances and reduce their energy burden. Daikin has consistently been at the forefront of both public welfare and energy conservation. Since Mayor Hou You-yi took office, New Taipei City has been at the forefront of the net-zero city movement. The city has planned for all new public buildings to achieve carbon neutrality first, and future large-scale development projects will also incorporate zero-carbon designs. The Baogao Smart Industrial Park is a highlight of New Taipei's net-zero transformation policy, and in the future Baogao Phase II will strive to become a model for ESG in industrial parks nationwide. Deputy Mayor Liu sincerely invited Daikin to join New Taipei City's net-zero transformation team in building a zero-carbon livable city. He also welcomed Daikin to establish an overseas research and development center in Baogao Park Phase II. The New Taipei City Government will provide the greatest assistance and support.

New Taipei City Government Economic Development Department Commissioner Yi-Ming Ho stated that Deputy Mayor Liu's trip to Japan has launched a comprehensive investment attraction campaign, engaging with Japanese government officials and businesses on multiple fronts. This includes hosting investment conferences and visiting renowned companies such as ALPS ALPINE, Nichicon, and Mitsui Fudosan. All these activities have been met with enthusiastic responses from the Japanese business community, which shows strong confidence in New Taipei City's investment prospects. Furthermore, the city government team actively visited several landmark sites in Japan, including smart buildings, factories, industrial parks, and cities, gathering valuable insights and feedback to enhance the competitiveness of the Baogao Industrial Park as it undergoes digital and green transformations. These experiences will contribute to attracting more industrial investments to New Taipei City's smart city initiatives.
